My journey to yoga began after struggling for many years with depression, chronic fatigue, migraines, insomnia, and extreme stress. My body, mind, spirit, and soul needed profound calming, centering, and relaxation.
After my first yoga class, my mind was clear and open, my body’s tension had subsided, and I felt that there was healing that could be done on my mat. Three years later, I found myself gravitating towards teacher training to advance my practice and find passion and purpose in my life.
Moved deeply by the psychological effects of yoga, I decided to pursue a career in Yoga for Emotional Wellness and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My experience in holistic wellness and mind-body modalities for healing has led me towards guiding individuals to reach their full potential for optimal well-being.
Asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation techniques are personalized for students so they can be guided through a journey of self-discovery to promote healing, restore balance and increase vitality. The aim is for students to maintain an optimum state of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being – on and off the mat. I specialize in yoga for healing depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma.

Restorative yoga helps us to relax and rest deeply and completely. Restorative yoga relieves the effects of chronic stress, stimulates and soothes the organs, reverses the effects of gravity, and permeates the body with energy. Restorative postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses with the addition of blocks, bolsters, and blankets to eliminate unnecessary strain.
Yin yoga is a style of yoga where gentle passive postures are held for sustained periods of time. Positive 'stress' is put on the deep layers of the connective tissue. Yin yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints. This style of yoga allows for deeper meditative experiences as well. Yin yoga is a complimentary practice to the dynamic and invigorating styles of yoga.
Vinyasa yoga is a flowing and dynamic form of yoga. The poses link together as if they were a dance on the mat. Each pose moves rhythmically on an inhale or exhale breath. This style of yoga connects postures and creates heat in the body in order to release tension. Vinyasa yoga allows for a lot of variety, but always includes postures which build strength, followed by postures for stretching.
Prenatal yoga offers expectant mothers a place to explore the changes in their bodies and minds. Gentle stretching and strengthening often relieves many common pregnancy discomforts, while also preparing the mother for labor and birth. Prenatal yoga classes adapt traditional postures to the needs of a changing pregnant body. Prenatal yoga is safe for the mother and baby.
